The Holy Lands was founded in 2014 primarily to deliver religious and educational tours to visit the holy land of Masjid Al-Aqsa, located in the Old City of Jerusalem. Our aim was to allow pilgrims to explore and unearth the rich Islamic history preserved within Bilaad Ash-Shaām (The Blessed Lands of Shaām – Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon) and to encourage people to visit the holy land more frequently.  Travel was openly encouraged by our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ; it is an essential way to increase knowledge and understanding of Islam, whilst building a spiritual closeness to Allah. It also provides an opportunity to learn, experience and discover different Islamic cultures and to expand your circle of friends throughout the world.

Masjid Al-Aqsa holds huge significant importance to the Muslims; it was the first qibla for the Muslims, it was the second mosque to be built on earth (40 years after Masjid Al-Haram) and it is the third main holiest site in Islam after Mecca and Medina. The Prophet ﷺ ascended to the heavens from Masjid Al-Aqsa during the Miraculous Night Journey of Al Isra Wal Mi’raj and no other city other than Jerusalem claims to have the distinction of having the footprints of Allah’s Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon all).

With Jordan located between Jerusalem and Mecca, our initial tours included a prior visit to Jordan allowing pilgrims to visit some of the key religious landmarks within this region. Many of the Abrahamic Prophets mentioned in the Quran are associated with Jordan – they either lived, travelled through this land or are buried here. Our services started to expand gradually, providing an opportunity for to perform Umrah from Masjid Al-Aqsa, thus visiting Islam’s three main holiest sites in one outing.
